I quit brewing kombucha for a while there as I felt like it was a ton of effort to do for just my own usage and I kind of got grossed out by how much the smell reminded me of my ex. I guess I just felt unsupported in lot of areas of my life, and brewing felt like an epic hassle for very little reward.
I introduced my boyfriend “J” to kombucha recently and he found a terrific store bought brand called Synergy which comes in a “Divine Grape” variety and we’ve both started to drink “booch” on a regular basis. As a result of having someone to share my interest with, I’m going to grow a new scoby and start brewing again.
As I mentioned previously I’ve been experimenting with making fermented foods in the past few months and the combination of taking a good probiotic, taking kombucha and eating fermented veggies regularly seems to be healing my skin and my other inflammatory issues really radically.
