Blender Or Juicer?

I’m begining a “juice feast”/detox in the next couple of weeks and have started looking at articles and videos on the subject in order to get myself psyched up for it. This is an interesting article which makes some good points.

  1. That answers a lot of questions for me. Thanks for posting it. I’m going to stick with my blender for now. There’s a new produce/natural foods store opening up within a mile of my house. I can’t wait to see what all they have. Hopefully plenty of organics.

    • Yeah, it was super nice for me to find out specific reasons for both. I have found that my body tends to respond really well to green smoothies but I get an uncomfortable “sugar spike” from super fruity juices. I think that I’ll stick with smoothies and green juices for the time being and will do more juicing once my diabetes settles down a bit.

I’m pretty content with my blender/juicer but I think I’m going to take the leap and invest in a vitamix this summer as I am going to work on being predominantly raw for the summer and by then juices should be a bit easier on my body.

    • Yeah, I own all three, it’s just a really good article which explains the advantages of both and was well worth sharing. Not everyone has the funds to start out with both, so it’s nice to have the info in place to help with deciding which one would make the best initial investment as pertains to what one’s goals are.

      Thanks for your input 🙂

  2. For cleansing you want to juice – you can get way more nutrients into your system if you cut out all the bulk in your produce. For weight loss or control you want to blend. The fiber and bulk in the produce will fill you up.
